Installation Process
Analyzing Design | We start by carefully analyzing the design plan and strategically laying out the fixtures in appropriate locations.
Fixture Assembly | Once all the fixtures are assembled, we place them according to the design plan to ensure optimal lighting coverage.
Trenching for Wire Installation | Begin trenching for wire installation using spade shovels in grass and trenching shovels in dirt. Ensure seamless repair of trenches.
Wire Layout | Using 12/2 or 10/2 direct burial low-voltage wire, we carefully lay out the wire, either burying it underground or running it above ground temporarily for final placement after the aiming appointment.
Fixture Connection | Each fixture is connected using professional-grade shrink tube connectors (lighting shrink) to ensure a secure and reliable connection.
Transformer Installation | We install and wire the transformer, ensuring proper operation of all fixtures and components.
Final Checks | Before completion, we conduct thorough checks to ensure the proper operation of all fixtures and components, guaranteeing the quality and functionality of the installation.

What is the average cost of a lighting system?
We have installed systems ranging from $2,000 – $100,000+ but our average project is roughly $15,000. You can expect to spend anywhere between 1-2.5% of your total come value on your professional lighting system
How deep do you bury the wires?
We bury the wire roughly 6 inches into the soil
Low voltage vs line voltage vs solar?
Low voltage systems are much more energy efficient than line voltage systems and the fixtures are much smaller allowing them to hide in the landscape better. Solar lighting is a temporary solution typically purchased from a box store and creates a less than desired effect.
What is the effect on my energy bill?
The average increased cost to your electric bill will be between $20-$30 dollars per year.
Will my yard be disturbed?
We take care precaution to preserve your current lawn and landscape. We spade in the grass allowing for a quick recovery of the lawn. Once we are done spading a digging, the property will be raked and blown to ensure its looks amazing at the end of the project.
Can the system be expanded in the future?
Yes the system can always be added to in the future. We never max out the transformer installed which allows you to add 10-20% more lighting without adding a second transformer. If you are looking to add more than 20-30% of your current system we will add a second transformer, then can run in sequence with the original.
How do we protect the lights in the grass?
Our designs are installed to last. In the grass we use flush well lights allowing the landscapers to run right over the fixtures without damaging them. We almost never install path lights in grass to avoid damage but if we absolutely need to we will use a longer stake or cement the fixtures in the ground.
Will the system need maintenance?
Yes the system will need bi-annual or year maintenance depending on property usage and growth of the landscape
Is it safe to hang lights on trees?
Yes. We use stainless steel screws and mounts that do not rust which preserves the health of the tree. During the maintenance calls we back out the screws allowing for the tree to grow and not constrict the fixture.
Does artificial lighting hurt the growth of the landscape or trees?
We are aware that the landscape does need rest in order to properly grow and stay healthy. We use the minimum amount of light on each tree to make sure we are not over lighting the specimen and damaging the photosynthesis process.
